At Peace Bridge Duty Free, you can find great gifts, alcohol and tobacco at great prices — and whether you’re going into the U.S. or returning home to Canada, Canadians can shop tax- and duty-free!
When heading into the U.S., Canadian residents may bring 1 liter of alcohol, 1 carton of cigarettes and 50 non-Cuban cigars. You can also bring up to $100 in gifts, which can include 100 non-Cuban cigars.
Coming home? If you’ve been in the U.S. for 24 hours, you’re allowed up to $200 Canadian in merchandise — but no alcohol or tobacco. After 48 hours, you’re welcome to bring back up to $800 in merchandise, 1.14 liters of liquor or 1.5 liters of wine and 1 carton of cigarettes, 50 cigars, 200 grams of tobacco and 200 tobacco sticks.
