Well, it’s good thing this whole music thing worked out for Blake Shelton. Who knew where else he would have been — besides a bar.

Like Luke Bryan, Blake’s older brother Richie, who was 24 at the time, died in a car accident. Blake was 14 at the time, and not long after, he moved to Nashville in pursuit of his music career.

But before that happened, he was saving some cash by painting houses and dubbing cassette tapes. He was also married once before meeting Miranda Lambert. (Check out his first wife.) Who would have thought?
