Life’s Lessons Through Tragedy

Friday was an emotionally draining day. My mother has been gone 16 year as of Friday and hearing what happened in CT has only made it all that much more difficult. I simply can not understand what compels people to act/do the things that they do and I certainly can not understand why any person would ever harm or kill a child. Nature's most innocent gift. I guess perhaps we are not meant to understand only to learn, love and pray. If I have learned anything the last 16 years of my life, it's that life has some very hard lessons to learn, but in the end, these thing allow, and beg for us to grow our hearts, and strengthen our faith and willingness to love with an open heart and compassion.
