They haven't opened it yet, but they have a pretty good idea what's inside a time capsule that was buried by patriots Samuel Adams and Paul Revere more than two hundred years ago in Boston.  They expect to find a Paul Revere plate, papers, and coins from the 1600s and some other surprises.

The items were placed in a cornerstone of the Massachusetts State House when construction began in 1795.  Workers repairing a water leak found it earlier this week and they called in an expert from the Museum of Fine Arts to remove it.

What's interesting is it's not the first time the time capsule has been removed from the building.  It was back in 1855 during emergency repairs it was found, opened and put back in place.  But added to the collection of items were some coins from the 1800's.

So what will they do with the time capsule once they open it up again this time?  They'll probably reset it while adding even more items.  But what present-day items would you add?

How about.....

  • I-phone
  • credit card
  • USB flash drive
  • Paper money
  • A newspaper
  • A paycheck stub
  • A restaurant menu
  • A new car brochure
  • Toy R Us catalog
  • A bottle of honey?  (Honey never spoils)
  • A Forever stamp

Any ideas on what you think should be added to a time capsule?
