What Would You Do If You Found A Lot Of Money?

Have you ever found a lot of money?  I am not talking about finding a ten or twenty dollar bill.  I mean big cash like more than $10,000. Back in the 1980's, a friend of mine bought a building on the East side of Buffalo and found $14,000 in a lunch box inside of a wall.  There was no one to return the cash to because the previous owner was dead.  So he took the money and used it to restore the building.

A man in Chicago recently found $17,000 on the sidewalk.  Did he keep it?   Yahoo.com has the rest of the story on what he did.  Would you keep the cash?  Or would you try to find the rightful owner?
