When Is Too Soon For Christmas Lights?

When is too soon for Christmas Lights?  As a standard I say wait until Thanksgiving weekend to put up the lights but I myself couldn’t resist the mild weather this weekend so I went ahead and put up my lights.  Granted I will not turn them on until Thanksgiving, but they’re ready to go.  In my neighborhood I did see houses fully decorated.  Why not, 1 out of 3 commercials you see are Christmas commercials and local radio stations have started round the clock Christmas music (too soon for me, just sayin').   

What do you think, are we rushing the season?  When is too soon for Christmas lights and music?
