I was lucky enough to work nights when my kids were little.  So I got to be with my kids as they grew up.  I was kind of like the stay at home dad who worked at night.  I went through all the children's programs, the parenting groups and the "play dates".  It's not easy to find parents that you want to hang out with.

There are so many factors involved.  You have to make sure your kids get along, you have to make sure that you get along with the parents, your parenting styles have to at least be close.  It's almost like dating...
