When I was in high school, I took a class that actually helped us put together a resume.  It was there that I realized there were certain words you should and shouldn't use if you want to land a job.  But there's also a word that you shouldn't ever use once you land the job either.

I'm not a Star Wars freak but Yoda said it best.

The word is "try".  According to Brad Hoover, CEO of grammarly.com, it's the most dangerous word to say in the workplace.  It shows you lack belief, passion, commitment and confidence.

In fact, what employers are looking for is unwavering confidence and strong problem-solving skills. They want capable employees who can get things done, not someone who will fail to finish.
