Congratulations, William Michael Morgan: The singer is the father of a new baby girl!

Named Presley, Morgan's daughter was born on March 23, weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces. The up-and-coming artist revealed the news on his Facebook page on Friday (April 8), thanking his fans for their prayers and support.

"I am so excited to be a dad! I can't wait to experience all the joys of being a father, like seeing my baby girl grow, crawl, walk, hearing her call me 'Daddy' for the first time, starting school and so much more," Morgan writes. "Her mother and I look forward to providing Presley with a loving and nurturing environment so that all of her dreams and desires can come true.

"Children are the promise of our future and of God's love," he adds. "Presley is truly a blessing from God!"

Morgan released his self-titled debut EP on March 18. The six-song project features the 22-year-old's debut single, “I Met a Girl,” as well as five additional tracks, including one written by Morgan. The William Michael Morgan EP was co-produced by Jimmy Ritchey and Scott Hendricks.

Co-written by Sam Hunt, Shane McAnally and Old Dominion‘s Trevor Rosen, “I Met a Girl” sits just outside the Top 30 (No. 31) on the Billboard Country Airplay chart as of the chart dated April 9, 2016. Morgan made his Grand Ole Opry debut last fall.

Morgan’s summer tour calendar is filled with fair and festival dates, including a stop at the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival. His complete schedule is available on his official website.
