Woman Receives $44,000 Parking Ticket

Ask any little kid that knows their numbers and they'll tell you that a zero means nothing.  Ask the woman who received a parking ticket for having her car parked illegally for 1,800 years what a zero means and she'll tell you that a zero means A LOT!

According to Yahoo a woman received a parking ticket in Sicily that was written down as an infraction that happened in 208 A.D. instead of 2008.  After adding in the interest from the fine, the total on her bill came out to 32,000 euros ($44,500).

The good news is that after her dizzy spell and trip to the hospital, the misprint was pointed out and she ended up paying much less than that.  The total was only 102 euros.

Now what is a zero worth?
