First we've got birds falling from the sky, then fish that are washing up on riverbanks, and now we've got orange alligators.

Luckily, I've never come face to face with an alligator.  But if I did, I would assume it to be a green (ish) color.  But a woman in Florida has found what she believes to be the world's first orange alligator.  She clicked a picture of it which you can see by clicking here.  Scientists believe that it may be a pigmentation issue or maybe that there was some paint that had gotten mixed into it's habitat.  Personally, I think it would come off pretty easily with a wire brush and a little elbow grease.  But I'm not gonna be the one to try it.

**UPDATE**  A second orange alligator has been spotted...this time in Texas.   Click here to see the latest orange alligator .
