Four members of the WYRK staff raised over $1000 each for Special Olympics of New York and earned the right to rappel down 28 stories from the roof of the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, New York. It was a windy, rainy day but these four brave souls conquered their fears and the elements in order to go over the edge.

Dean Sarago told me that leaning over the edge and trusting that the ropes were going to hold him was one of the toughest things he had ever done, and this is from a guy who has been skydiving before. Dean said his whole body started to cramp up about half way down because of the amount of adrenaline running through his body. When he finally reached the bottom he was so excited and could not believe what he had just accomplished.

This annual event has become increasingly popular just as the well-attended annual Polar Plunge that our staff took part in as well back in December.
