Oh man.

It's been a debate for the past couple of years--should New York State ban the use of plastic bags at the grocery store?

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz proposed a ban on the use of plastic bags at supermarkets a few years back only to be shot down by the legislature.

Again, The New York State Plastic Bag Task Force board has come up with some new options to Governor Cuomo--8 of them in fact.

They include:

-Keeping things the way they are
-Imposing a state fee per bag that is used
-Imposing a bag fee per transaction
-Banning them completely
-Stores need to have a recycling program

The concern by the board is the that the bags are bad for an environment and killing animals.
