Young Man Bikes From Buffalo To Raleigh To Raise Awareness For Kids That Need Prosthetic Limbs
I love stories like this.
Matthew Schreiner, from Buffalo left Thursday morning from downtown at First Niagara Center to travel 700 miles on a bike to Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s going to take Matt about a week to travel south, about 100 miles a day and has set up about 100 interviews and a short break in Washington, D.C.
Matt was inspired six months ago when he saw a video of a young boy, Ryder who has a prosthetic device in order to ice skate. Ryder’s parents started an organization, Unlimbitied, that helps children receive prosthetic legs . He was inspired so much that as he rides down to North Carolina he hopes to raise awareness along the way for children who need prosthetic legs.
Just made it to Ellicotville… time to get some dinner then get back on the bike
