Waiting in line used to be a thing. It used to be a HUGE thing. Before the internet (yes...for those of you who don't know, the internet hasn't always been around), if you wanted to get good seats to a concert, you waited in line to get those tickets. Some people would even camp out. For days. Sometimes longer.

That was for concert tickets. Not for a restaurant to open. Even if it's a beloved restaurant. But these days, it looks like Chick-Fil-A is the new "hot concert," because there are people waiting in line...camped out in the snow and the cold for Western New York's first Chick-Fil-A to open at 6 a.m. Thursday (11/29).

I guess, to be fair, they're not just waiting in line for Chik-Fil-A to open; they're waiting to win. You see, the first 100 people in line when the restaurant opens will get a Chik-Fil-A meal each week for the next year. As of this morning (11/28) around 10am Wednesday, there were nearly 50 people waiting in line. In this Western New York cold and snow.

To each their own, but I can't think of a single thing that I'd be willing to wait in line to get. Especially in the cold and the snow. I'm so impatient I hate waiting in the line at Wegman's!

UPDATE!! As I was writing this, word came down that because of the weather and safety concerns, Chik-Fil-A called an audible and has switched up the contest times. Here's their facebook post:

So if you're of a mind to wait in line and you have a few spare hours on your hands...Chik-Fil-A awaits.
