Zachary Kijowski Is This Week’s Hometown Hero!

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This Week’s Hometown Hero is orignally from North Tonawanda, NY, it’s 21 year old Army Specialist Zachary Kijowski!

Zak signed on for the Army his senior year of high school when he was just 17. He graduated in June and left for basic in July of 2013. He completed basic training in South Carolina, then to Virgina for specialty training. Zak then went to Fort Bliss Texas. He was deployed in January of 2015 to Qatar, he was there until October of 2015. He is currently still serving in Fort Bliss, Texas, where he is training to complete Sergeant school.

This week, we are proud to say thank you to Zak and call him our Hometown Hero of the week!
