The 20th anniversary of the National Chicken Wing Festival has been announced and the event will have a new home for 2021, which I am sure absolutely no one will have a problem with: The home of the Buffalo Bills, Highmark Stadium.

The National Chicken Wing Festival will be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 4 + 5, at Highmark Stadium, 1 Bills Drive.

Things will be a bit different from what you have seen at previous Wingfest's out at Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo, though.

  • There will be 5 sessions for Wingfest!
  • 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.
  • All tickets will be sold ahead of time.
  • No tickets will be available at the door.
  • Tickets will be capped at 5,000 per session.

The capacity will be capped with a limit of 50%, which is 25,000 tickets for the weekend. Things might look a bit different this year, but you will still get the same great wings from all over the United States with some beverages and live music and entertainment all day!

Wingfest is a local staple and a national celebration. Hosting it at Highmark Stadium furthers our commitment to use the stadium for an increasing number of community events,” said Ron Raccuia, Pegula Sports & Entertainment executive vice president. “We’re proud to welcome the festival to the home of the Buffalo Bills", according to a press release early Wednesday morning.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at buffalowing.com for $20, which includes free parking and a $5 coupon toward the purchase of a commemorative festival shirt or hat. A donation will be made to FeedMore WNY for each ticket sold.
