Born Country? Will Lady Gaga Become The Next Queen Of Country?

As Lady Gaga continues to put the finishing touches on her upcoming album, fans were given a treat Thursday in the form of a country version of her hit song, 'Born This Way.'

Gaga made the unexpected announcement via Twitter, writing, "Surprise Monsters!: 'Born This Way' (The Country Road Version) will be released on Twitter tomorrow at 12am PST/3am EST 3/25."

The original version of 'Born This Way,' which was released in February, was an immediate hit, though Gaga has come under fire for its similarities to Madonna's 1989 hit 'Express Yourself.'

Gaga debuted her first live performance of the song at this year's Grammys, where she was carried down the red carpet in an egg, where she hatched on stage during the performance.
