Buffalo Sabres Officially Out Of The Playoffs
The NHL season is over for the Buffalo Sabres. As the pandemic rolls on, the NHL announced that IF the season were to continue this summer it would not include Buffalo's team.
It was announced this week that the NHL was scrapping the end of the regular season and will start the playoffs with the top 24 teams. Since the Sabres had the 25th best record, their long postseason drought will continue for at least another year.
Some fans are still calling on the Sabres to give them a refund. The Sabres had announced this month that they would do a credit of some sort for their season ticket holders that would include a credit at the team store.
Football fans got some good news earlier this week when Governor Cuomo announced that professional teams, like the Buffalo Bills, could start training camps this summer. Will fans be allowed to be at the NFL games this season? That is still a possibility and is very good news for the teams and fans. The "12th Man" is vital for teams like Buffalo for their energy and the way they help distract opposing teams.
Make sure you have the WYRK Buffalo App and stay connected with breaking news and information as it becomes available! The Bills would begin training camp after July and preseason in August.
