Cuomo Warns Restaurants and Bars Will Lose Liquor License If There Are Crowds
During his Sunday briefing, Governor Andrew Cuomo warned those who violate the social distancing laws that are currently in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to WIVB.
Particularly, that bars and restaurants will risk losing their liquor license if they violate these laws and have large crowds gathering.
Western New York is set to reach Phase 3 reopening on Tuesday, June 16th, which includes dine-in at bars and restaurants.
“I am not going to allow situations to exist that we know have a high likelihood of causing an increase in the spread of the virus,” Cuomo said at his coronavirus briefing Sunday.
Governor Cuomo said there is a very real possibility that reopening will be rolled back in some areas if coronavirus cases increase.
The major guidelines for restaurants and bars reopening in Phase 3 are no more than 50 percent capacity; all employees must wear masks; all customers must wear masks unless they are seated.
