First of all, it's amazing to me when I find out that so many recreational sports have professional teams. How do you get to become a professional tugger in tug of war anyway? Now leaders for professional ice fishing have put in a bid to have their athletes tested for performance-enhancing drugs.

This is not a joke.  It's really happening.  Leaders of the ice-fishing community are trying to get their sport official Olympics recognition, so they have asked the World Anti-Doping Agency to randomly test its "athletes" for performance-enhancing drugs!

There is hope, however.  Joel McDearmon, chairman of the United States Freshwater Fishing Federation has announced that they will not be testing for beer for one very important reason:

“We do not test for beer, because then everybody would fail.”

I am not into doing drugs.  Never have been.  My question is, what drug out there will honestly help you with your ice fishing?  The only thing I can think of is one that will make you feel warm all the time.  I mean, I respect their decision to make sure their athletes are clean but I don't see how drugs can have an affect on your ice fishing.
