As a result of the state of emergency, all Erie County Schools will be closed on Monday so that schools may be thoroughly cleaned and so preparations can be made in the case of an extended closure. Teachers and staff are still to report.

The initial closure is intended to allow for time to plan for the immediate future. Factors like workforce shortages, child care, and students who rely on schools for their meals all need to be taken into account, and this time will be used to carefully consider and design a plan of action for many of these factors.

Anyone with general questions about COVID-19 can call the Erie County General Line at 716-858-2929.
