26 teams of local filmmakers will have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a 4-7 minute short film !

The 48 Hour Film Project is a global filmmaking event held in 130+ cities around the world. The winning films from each city will move on to have their films shown at the Filmapalooza Film Festival in Orlando, Florida where they will compete for awards and the opportunity for a screening at the prestigious Festival de Cannes in France.

Teams will receive their genre as well as a required line, prop, and character they must include in their films at the kickoff event at Parkside Lodge at 6pm on Friday, August 9th and will have until 7:30pm on Sunday, August 11th to drop off their completed films. Novice and experienced filmmakers are put on a level playing field by having only 48 hours to make a film.

Then, movie fans can support the filmmakers at the world premiere screenings on August 17 & 18, 11:30am at North Park Theatre. Tickets are $10.50 and will be available on North Park Theatre's website.
