A typical winter chore that people normally dread to do is something of a tradition in Western New York, especially when it involves the hometown football team.

With the pending arrival of a potentially large winter storm, the Buffalo Bills have decided to open the stadium grounds and hire hundreds of Buffalonians to help with snow removal, which is what we do best.

The team and its facilities vendor, ABM, are looking to hire snow shovelers to help clear the stadium this year. With the potential for four feet or more of snow barreling down on the region, the time is right to join the Bills team.

The team is making getting hired to shovel pretty easy. All you need to do is go to the Buffalo Bills website and sign up to register for employment with ABM. The team is paying shovelers $20 per hour and providing food and hot beverages; you do have to be at least 18 years old to work for the team.

While fans can bring their own shovels, the team will provide shovels and other equipment. You do need to make sure you're dressed appropriately for the weather. If you sign up to shovel, the team will contact you around 24 hours before they need you.

Living in Western New York, we know how fast snow can fall and impact the area. You might remember one snowstorm that dropped over 100,000 tons of snow on Highmark Stadium.

Let's go Buffalo because we know the snow is on the way.
