New York State Police have been busy in Western New York. Several people were recently arrested on charges including DWI, drugs, and harassment.

Jamestown Man Arrested For Aggravated Harasment

A 40-year-old Jamestown man was arrested for Aggravated Harassment on August 22, 2022. State Police from Jamestown were called to a home in Mayville for a harassment complaint. William Soto allegedly called the victim and threatened her life. He was arrested at his home and then taken to the precinct in Jamestown for processing. He was then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Allegany Man Arrested For Menacing

Troopers from SP Olean arrested a 21-year-old man for Menacing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Harassment on August 19, 2022. The alleged incident took place on August 15, 2022. Troopers responded to a call about menacing on S. Nine Mile Rd in the town of Allegany. Bradley S. Beaver of Allegany allegedly got out of his vehicle at the victim's home with a baseball bat. The victim said he dropped the bat and punched the victim in the face. Beaver fled the scene before Troopers arrived. Once Troopers located Beaver and took him into custody, he was taken to SP Olean for processing. He was issued a ticket to return to court in the Town of Allegany later this month.

Jamestown Man Arrested For DWI

On August 17, 2022, Troopers from the State Police precinct in Jamestown arrested a 56-year-old Jamestown man for DWI. Lawrence Delong was pulled over after allegedly running a stop sign and speeding on Route 394 in Lakewood. Troopers conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Delong failed. He was taken to SP Jamestown where he was processed, then he was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Olean Woman Arrested For DWI-Drugs

Troopers from the State Police precinct in Olean arrested a 39-year-old woman on August 17, 2022, for DWAI-Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Troopers received a call about an unconscious person in a vehicle on Route 16 in Olean. They found Janine L. McKenney of Olean. Troopers suspected that she was impaired so they conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which she failed. McKenney was allegedly under the influence of drugs and Troopers allegedly found 4 grams of crack cocaine on her. She was taken to the precinct for processing. She was then arraigned in Allegany Town Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail. She is due to return to court in September.
