Weird Al Yankovic Is On His Way To Western New York
The entertainment season in Western New York and Southern Ontario this past year has been among the best in recent memory. You would be hard-pressed to find a better year for concerts, events, and shows than we had in 2024. As the year winds down, it's important to look back at some of the top artists and groups that have come to town.
Reviewing the options we've had this year shows us some top notch entertainment, not only have we seen Drake and J.Cole, Shaboozey, Robin Thicke, Rob Base, Vanilla Ice, Pitbull and T-Pain. Suppose that seems like a lot of options. In that case, you may have forgotten about Nicki Minaj, Diana Ross, Flo Rida, Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Bell Biv DeVoe, and Soulja Boy - and those artists are just a small sampling of the great performances we've had in 2024.
Looking forward to 2025, we may have just as good of a year, especially when you see who's coming to Western New York. There is an extremely funny singer, songwriter, musician, and actor who is on his way to Darien Lake Amphitheater to show us why he's been able to sell more than 12 million albums in his career.
Born Alfred Matthew Yankovic in Downey, California, 'Weird Al' grew from humble beginnings to one of the best comedic performers in American history.
Known for his hilarious parodies of famous musicians and entertainers, Weird Al has become a household name by keeping people laughing uncontrollably as he pokes fun at some of the biggest songs.
Over his nearly 50-year musical career, Yankovic has sold more than 12 million albums, earned five Grammys, an Emmy, and several RIAA Gold and Platinum awards.
'Weird Al' and his Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour is going the road to 65 cities in North America in 2025, making stops in Las Vegas, Kansas City, MO, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Buffalo when he puts on a show at Darien Lake Amphitheater on July 11, 2025.
