The new Mega Millions format has produced a couple of million-dollar winners in New York State.

The new Mega Millions has a random built-in multiplier and that paid off big time for a couple of lottery players in New York State. The New York State Lottery announced that there were two 2nd place winning tickets sold in New York from Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.

Both of those tickets matched all 5 numbers but missed out on the Megaball. The 2nd place prize for the Mega Millions is $1 million dollars, but with the built-in multiplier, one ticket won $2 million dollars, and another ticket won $4 million dollars.

Those weren't the only "Big Money" winning Mega Millions tickets sold in New York from last night. There was one 3rd-place winning ticket sold in New York. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Megaball and won $20,000.

There were also 23 fourth-place winning tickets sold in New York last night. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers and won at least $1000. Two of the tickets had a 10x multiplier and won $5000.

The winning numbers from Tuesday's Mega Millions were 6-10-13-24-63 with a Megaball of 02.

There was no grand prize winning ticket sold from last night's Mega Millions drawing. That means the jackpot for Friday night's drawing is now up to $112 million dollars.

Tickets for the Mega Millions cost $5 per ticket, and the drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday.
