We are not out of the woods yet when it comes to Winter weather here in Western New York. Today another blast of arctic air will bring sub-zero wind chills and temperatures in the teens and lake-effect snow across the 716.

Temperatures will continue to drop as the day goes on and we could see Lake Effect snow spread all across Western New York.

The snow will be on and off throughout the day and could end up dumping a couple of inches of snow by the end of the day.

The major issue will be that with the temperatures remaining below freezing the ice that fell across the area yesterday won't melt and snow on top of it could cause some issues with travel, tree limbs, and power lines.

As of this morning, several thousand people are still without power after the ice took down several powerlines in West Seneca and Cheektowaga.

If you have to be out today, use caution when traveling and bundle up because it will be cold.
