Several Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In New York

Wednesday's Powerball drawing didn't produce any million-dollar winners in New York, but several lottery players definitely got some good return on investment.

There were no "Big Money" winning tickets sold in New York State from Wednesday's Powerball drawing. There was only one 2nd place $1 million dollar ticket sold, and that was in Massachusetts.

Here in New York, there were plenty of winners.

According to the New York State Lottery, there were 25 4th place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers but missed the Powerball number. 20 of those tickets won $100, while five of those tickets have the Powerplay, which was 3x the prize amount, and took home $300 each.

There were also 109 5th-place winning tickets sold in New York. Those tickets matched three out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. 97 of those tickets won $100 while the remaining tickets had the Powerplay and won $300.

There was no grand prize winner from Wednesday's Powerball drawing. That means the jackpot for Saturday's drawing is now up to $123 million dollars.
