The NFL Draft is just seven days away. This year, they have a long list of former players set to announce teams' new picks.

I have a confession. For years, I couldn't care less about the NFL Draft. It used to feel so boring to hear people talking about a bunch of players whom I knew nothing about. Plus, when it's not your team's turn to pick, you're sitting through conversations about teams that you don't even care about.

The NFL Draft is now a huge event

However, over the last couple of years, the NFL has done an incredible job of making the draft an event. It takes place over three days with the first round happening on Thursday (4/24), the second and third rounds on Friday (4/25), and the final fourth through seventh rounds on Saturday (4/26).  They've been bringing in celebrities to announce picks. They're telling more stories about the players, and even bringing former players back to announce picks.

We've seen superfans like the late "Pancho Billa" make picks.  Fred Jackson, Andre Reed, and Bruce Smith have all announced picks.  Even NFL Analyst Kyle Brandt who is a self-proclaimed Bills fan has made a pick in the past.

This year, they've announced a full list of former players who will be making announcements in the second and third rounds of the draft.

Lee Evans will be announcing the Bills' 2025 pick

Former Buffalo Bills' wide receiver and former first-round pick Lee Evans will be announcing one of the picks on day two of the draft this year.  It will be 21 years exactly from the day that he was picked by the Buffalo Bills out of Wisconsin.  He was one of two first-round picks drafted on April 24, 2004.  Evans was taken 13th overall.  Quarterback JP Losman was taken 22nd.

The NFL Draft will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from outside Lambeau Field in Green Bay.  Day two will begin at 7 p.m.
