July 4th Fireworks Displays in Buffalo

This July 4th, you have a choice. You can be the guy who drives to Pennsylvania and buys your own overpriced fireworks out of those yellow tents on the side of the thruway, or you can be that smart guy who goes to the real fireworks shows around Buffalo, thereby guaranteeing awesome sights and no injuries. For once, be the smart guy.

Western New York’s numerous fireworks displays kicked off this past weekend at West Seneca’s Community Days, but if you didn’t make it out there, don’t worry — you’ll have plenty of other opportunities to see fireworks in the Buffalo area between now and the Fourth of July.

Fireworks displays on this list begin at dusk — between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. or so — unless noted.

• Queen Victoria Park (Niagara Falls, Ontario). There are fireworks displays over the Falls every Friday and Sunday at 10 p.m. this summer — which you can see from the U.S. side as well — but you can catch a bonus display on July 4th as well.
