Jacksonville native Riley Green will be one of the country headliners this August at the Erie County Fair.

The Erie County Agricultural Society is adding an ACM award winner to this year’s concert lineup. Riley Green is an acclaimed country music singer/songwriter from Alabama will perform at the Erie County Fair Grandstand on Thursday, August 11th at 8:00 pm. 

Green will be one of the many highlights of the “Best 12 Days of Summer.” He was named the New Male Artist of the Year at the 2020 ACM Awards, and you may remember his song “There Was This Girl,” which he released in 2018. Green had a lot of success from that single, as well as the 2019 album ‘A Different Round,’ which features perhaps his most famous song “Grandpas Never Die.”   

Tickets will go on sale as early as June 10th at 10am, and you can buy your tickets through Tickets.com.  All of the tickets for grandstand events will include admission to the Fair on the day of the show.

A Look Back at the 2001 ACM Awards:

The 2001 ACM Awards took place on May 9, 2001, at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, Calif. Reba McEntire hosted the show -- her first of four straight years as its leader (followed by a year off, when the show had no host, then five more as solo host and two more as co-host with Blake Shelton).

The big awards winners that night were the Dixie Chicks (Entertainer of the Year), Toby Keith (Top Male Vocalist) and Faith Hill (Top Female Vocalist). Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, LeAnn Rimes and more performed.
