Toby Keith will host this year’s 2012 CMT Music Awards along with actress Kristen Bell on June 6th live on CMT.  It’s the shows 11th year and Toby has appeared on every show to date but not quite like this.

The CMT artists of the year special will air tonight.   The five artists being honored are..Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift.

I love the new Jake Owen single “Barefoot Jeans Night” it’s such a great summertime feel good song.  I knew there would be a video made to the single, but was super impressed seeing Jake Owen himself doing all the water-boarding stunts in it.

The CMT Music Award nominations were announced this morning on the Today show and Jason Aldean leads the list of nominees with four.  Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and the Zac Brown Band follow with 3 nominations apiece.
