The winter of 2024 is more than half over and officials in New York are already getting plans going for the summer.

Like the comical '60s TV spy Maxwell Smart used to say, "Missed it by that much".

Imagine you see a little girl standing on an air conditioner three stories above the ground.  Would you step under her to cushion her fall?  That's exactly what Steven St. Bernard did and he's being called a hero for saving her life.

We once did a promotion at Darien Lake to promote their new roller coaster – the Predator and I rode that coaster for two hours.  What a blast.  The bigger, the faster, the steeper, the better.  I just love roller coasters.  The reason I bring that up is that it was on this date in 1884 the first roller coaster in America opened at Coney Island, in New York.  It traveled six miles an hour and cost
