Lauren Hall is a known sports fan here in WNY. In addition to her reporting duties at Channel 4 (WIVB) she is also the "In Game Host" at the Sabres home games and a frequent fan at other sporting events in the area. Clay, Dale and I had the honor of participating in the National Salute to Veteran Patients at the Buffalo VA last Friday. Kids and volunteers from around the area make wonderful handmade valentines for the veterans and we get the honor of handing them out to patients currently at the VA...

It all started with some incorrectly pronounced words on the Breakfast Battle this morning.  The words were kimura and omoplata.  Both are submission moves in MMA.  I immediately regretted offering to show Dale the moves.

Tens of thousands of motorists use the route everyday.  It connects the mainline Thruway I-90 with the Niagara section of the Thruway I-190 thru the towns of Amherst and Tonawanda.  It's officially I-290, but most locals call it the Youngmann.
