dealing with loss

A couple days ago I posted the results to a question I asked on facebook.  The question was, “What is the worst part about Christmas this year?”  One of the most commonly found responses was “missing loved ones.”  I’m with you.  It’s not easy to put a smile on your face when you’re missing someone that you love.

As I was headed into the station on Saturday morning, I got a little misty eyed when I heard a woman request “He Stopped Loving Her Today” by George Jones on Wide Open Country.  She said she begins to miss her dad a lot during the holidays and that the song reminded her of him. It was a statement that unfortunately I could relate to.
