Kelly Clarkson mentioned in a interview that she had a hard time getting people to collaborate with her for her new album...and in general. Well Jimmy Fallon JUMPED on the opportunity to work with Kelly. (It also helped that Kelly is promoting her new album), We give you, The History of Duets:

There have been some wonderful country duets in recent years. Collaborations between Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson come to mind, but these songs (and others like 'Highway Don't Care') take some serious coordination.

Country music has certainly had its fair share of country music duet partners.  We've had Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner, Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, and the classic pairing of Johnny and June.  The question is, will there ever be a pair like any of them again?

I hate to toot my own horn, but I do believe when this show debuted I said it would come down to superstars Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson and their amateurs in the finale of ‘Duets’ on ABC.  The winner will be revealed from America’s votes this Thursday night, and the odds on favorite is Jennifer’s team having both of her two contestants still in the competition.

Congratulations to Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, who is expecting her first child with her husband Justin Miller.  As you can imagine, the couple was thrilled at the news. Jennifer is due in November, close to the couple’s one-year anniversary.
