flu

It’s that time again, cold and flu season.  I’ve been lucky so far (knock on wood) and haven’t had a major cold or caught the flu but I’m thinking my luck will run out at some point.  I’m not one to stock up on over the counter medicines when I’m sick, I just fight through with rest lots of liquids and sleep usually.

This year I had really looked forward to Christmas, but it really didn't turn out the way I had planned. John Lennon said that "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". There's so much truth in that statement. I had been approaching Christmas with hopeful anticipation...

The flu and the common cold are both respiratory illnesses caused by different viruses. Because these two types of illnesses often mimic each other's symptoms, it can be difficult to tell the difference between them.
