The weather looks to be nice and cool for the opener of the September Goose Season in New York State. The September 1st start is a great tradition and truly helps to ease the population numbers to a more tolerable level.

The mild winter has been perfect for the flocks of geese that have stayed around Western New York. With plenty of open water and fields to feed in, it should be a good start to the week long goose season in New York.
