A very Happy Mother's Day to my Mom. I KNOW she is looking down from heaven waiting for her special message I have sent to her every Mother's Day since 1976.

WARNING!  You will need a box of tissues for this one. To my wonderful Mom and my "other" Mother, my sweet mother-in-law...I love you and miss you both! Both are gone now, but I will never forget all the years I worked on the radio on Mother's Day and called them to share this song. To say thank you, for a debt I could never repay.

No genre of music tells a story like country music does. They're without a doubt some of the most powerful songs on the radio. They're even more powerful when they're about moms. With Mother's Day coming up this Sunday, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite songs about moms.

Mother's Day is Sunday. This will be the sixth Mother's Day without my Mom and twelve years for my wife Maribeth's Mother. No doubt tears will be shed when we visit their graves...much like the tears that are welling up in our eyes as we listen to the late Jimmy Dean Mother's Day classic called, "I.O.U."
