It had been more than a year since he won a race despite often having the fastest car on the track.  He had led more than 1,100 laps this season without a victory.  No driver had been more snake-bitten than Kyle Busch, but finally Sunday at Pocono he not only had a fast car, but he got a lucky break when Kevin Harvick got loose and Busch took the lead with 16 laps left and held on for the checkere

It's been an impressive season for Kyle Larson.  After 15 races he has 10 Top-10's including five second-place finishes and two victories.  His latest win is his second in a row at Michigan and the third of his career.

Ryan Blaney held off Kevin Harvick over the final laps at Pocono on Sunday to join Daniel Suarez and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. as first time Cup Series winners this season.  Blaney finally tracked down race lap leader Kyle Busch with 10 laps left and held on to give car owners the Wood Brothers their 99th Cup victory.

Heading into the weekend Kyle Busch had won 15 times at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  He had won eight Xfinity races and on Friday night he won his seventh truck race.  But during his career he had never won a race at the Monster Energy Cup level at Charlotte, until Saturday.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. finally won his first Monster Energy Cup race after 158 tries.  Stenhouse started on the pole, led 14 laps including the most important last lap when he passed Kyle Busch during an overtime restart and held off the rest of the field.  He becomes the 11th driver to win their first career race at Talladega Speedway.  It also ended a 101-race winless streak for owner Jack Roush. 

Even with a speeding penalty that put him at the rear of the field, Brad Keselowski battled back to win Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway making him the season's first two-time winner.  Keselowski took the lead from Kyle Busch with 42 laps left and stretched his lead to win by just under two seconds at the finish.  It's Keselowski's fifth straight Top-5 finish and the first win for a Ford

Ryan Newman was the winner at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, his first Cup victory in nearly four years and the first win for Richard Childress Racing since November of 2013.  Newman decided to stay on the track with worn tires and the gamble paid off.

It was a dominating day for Martin Truex, Jr. at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.  Truex led 150 of the race's 267 laps and claimed all three stages, but needed a next-to-last lap pass of Brad Keselowski to win his first race at Vegas.

Over the past few years we've seen Kyle Busch become one of NASCAR's great all-time racers and by the time he calls it quits he may be up in the class of Richard Petty, David Pearson, Dale Earnhardt, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. Over the weekend he became the first driver in NASCAR history to sweep both the pole and the race in Xfinity and Sprint Cup races on the same weekend.  And Sunday's win

Kyle Busch became the Sprint Cup Series first three-time winner this season when he held off Kevin Harvick on a late restart for his first career win at Kansas Speedway on Saturday night.  It leaves just Charlotte and Pocono as the only tracks where Kyle has yet to win.

Make it two straight wins for Carl Edwards thanks to an incredible pass on the final lap.  Edwards tapped teammate Kyle Busch out of the way on the final turn and sprinted to the finish line for an improbable victory.  It's the first time in the history of the 3/4-mile Richmond Speedway that a driver won a race with a pass on the last lap.

Kyle Busch has a pretty impressive string of victories over the past two weeks - four straight national series races including back to back Sprint Cup wins.  Kyle won Saturday night's 500 mile Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway after having won the Xfinity race on Friday night giving him back to back weekend sweeps.  Kyle won the Cup race the previous week at Martinsville along with the Camping Worl
