It’s been almost a month since 1,550 employees at the Sumitomo rubber plant in Tonawanda were shocked to learn they had lost their jobs.

Over 1,500 people were Thanos snapped into unemployment when the company suddenly shut it all down. It's a massive hit to the Western New York economy, but more importantly to the individuals and families affected.

It’s been a few days since Sumitomo Rubber announced it was closing its Tonawanda tire plant, leaving 1,550 people without jobs.

Frito Lay is laying off some of its employees in New York State.
