There must be something about Michigan International Speedway that brings out the best in Kyle Larson. He admitted he didn't think he had even a top-10 car on Sunday, but at the end he was good enough to be at the front of the field for an overtime restart. It was there that he took advantage of a mistake by Martin Truex, Jr and it paid off for Larson with his third straight win at Michigan.
Although he won last month's All Star race, Joey Logano registered his first points win of the season by dominating Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway. Logano led 138 of 200 laps at the two-mile track to become the 10th different winner this season. He's also the seventh different winner in the last seven races.
It took defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson twelve races to win for the first time this season, but now he's won three of the last four and it looks like he may be on the way to a seventh consecutive championship. His latest victory came Sunday at Michigan International Speedway for his first ever win at the track.
