What a day for Joey Logano at Richmond International Speedway.  The driver of the Number 22 Pennzoil Ford drove from last to first to win his 18th career race in his 300th career start.

Make it two straight wins for Carl Edwards thanks to an incredible pass on the final lap.  Edwards tapped teammate Kyle Busch out of the way on the final turn and sprinted to the finish line for an improbable victory.  It's the first time in the history of the 3/4-mile Richmond Speedway that a driver won a race with a pass on the last lap.

Matt Kenseth will enter the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship on a roll.  He's won three of the last six races including Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 400 at the 3/4 mile Richmond International Raceway. Even after missing the first three races of the season after being suspended by NASCAR under accusations of domestic violence, Kurt Busch has guaranteed himself a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.  Busch dominated Sunday's Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway leading 291 of the 400 laps for his first win of the season and the 26th of his Cup career.

Kevin Harvick led only three laps Saturday night at Richmond International Speedway but the last two were the most important, as he moved from seventh to first on a green-white-checkered finish and edged Clint Bowyer to the finish line to win his first Sprint Cup race of the year. Before Saturday night, Harvick had only one Top 10 finish this season.

The 9th race of the Sprint Cup season is under the lights this week at the ¾ mile Richmond International – one of the oldest tracks in racing, open since 1946.  It was a dirt track until they paved it in 1968.  Lights were installed in 1991.

The field is set for this year’s Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Clint Bowyer won Saturday night’s race at Richmond, but the bigger story was Jeff Gordon who drove himself into the final Chase wild card spot edging out Kyle Busch by three points.

NASCAR heads to the ¾ mile Richmond International Speedway for racing under the lights this weekend.  Last year Kyle Busch tied Richard Petty with his third straight win at the Richmond spring race and on Saturday night he'll be shooting to join Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip as the only drivers to win the same Sprint Cup race four straight years.
