Ride For Roswell

Last Friday's Celebration of Hope was not only entertaining, but it was inspiring at the same time. Families and survivors came together with staff and volunteers and friends from Roswell Park to show their support in the fight against cancer. One moment sticks out as the most memorable...

Kellie Pickler came out to the University at Buffalo to join Roswell Park for the Celebration of Hope, a rally against cancer and celebration of the survivors, patients and heroes fighting against cancer every day. The evening included family-friendly activities as well as presentations.

Clay is leading Team WYRK again in the Ride For Roswell and he is really into it. I hope his training doesn't get out of hand like it did last year...Remember this? I don't know if Wendy's desk could handle another training session. LOL  

We are counting down the days until the Ride For Roswell! It's the 20th anniversary of The Ride and it is going to be an exciting weekend!

It's true when they say that cancer affects everyone.  Someone you know has either had cancer or knows someone that does.  It does not discriminate.  Now, Taylor Swift has revealed that her mom is also battling this terrible disease.

I couldn't be more inspired to be a part of the Ride For Roswell than I am this year. Having been a part of it for the last few years and being a partner with Roswell for my entire career, I can't wait to get back on the bike and join the thousands of other riders who support the fight against cancer! It is one of the most inspiring events I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. Last year was the inaugural year for Team WYRK at the Ride For Roswell. This year, we plan to be back and better than ever! With your help, we can reach our goal and help in the fight against cancer!

The best part of what I do for a living is getting to help the community. Even if in a small way, getting to spread the word about charities and benefits is very rewarding. However, I doubt there is something I like more about being a radio announcer in Buffalo than the ability to help people on an individual scale. When I met AJ Walczak and his mom Lisa Gainey and heard their story, I couldn't wa
