Although he admitted loving the city and playing for the Sabres it appears Ryan O'Reilly's honesty cost him a spot with the team.

The Sabres were still trailing 3-0 late in the third period when Jason Pominville and Sam Reinhart scored 21 seconds apart to bring the Sabres within a goal.

There haven't been too many games this season where the Buffalo Sabres have made it worth the price of admission, but a much different story on Tuesday night.

Who would wear the coveted C this year for the Buffalo Sabres? It's been on many Sabres fans' minds. That was revealed today and the answer is - nobody.

The Buffalo Sabres beat the Arizona Coyotes 6-3 Thursday night to end a four-game losing streak, but it wasn't easy.  The Sabres scored three goals in the 3rd period to win it.  Evander Kane scored his 23rd goal of the season to break a 3-3 tie and Marcus Foligno and Sam Reinhart scored empty netters.

For two periods the Buffalo Sabres didn't have much going for them.  The Winnipeg Jets effectively shut down the Sabres and had a wide edge in shots on goal.  It all seemed to change when head coach Dan Balsyma ripped into his team during a TV timeout.  From that point the Sabres outshot the Jets 26-9 while scoring three times in the third period for a 4-3 comeback victory.

in the first of a four-game road trip.  Ryan O'Reilly led the way with a pair of goals and two assists.  Sabres captain Brian Gionta also scored twice.
