Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

It's time to get your game feet on guys!  I'm calling on you, our incredibly strong listeners who aren't afraid to stand up for what's right.  It's called Walk A Mile In Her Shoes and it's back again for the 9th year.

Patrick Stewart is probably best known for his role as Captain Jean Luc Picard from the Star Trek television show. However, after watching his mother be abused when he was a child, he has become an incredible advocate to help end domestic violence.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who joined us out this past Saturday to Walk A Mile In Her Shoes! The day was perfect for the walk, with temperatures in the upper 60s and lots of sunshine. So how did I do? You can see for yourself right here!

As you may already know, I'm walking in a walk this Saturday (April 27) to help bring an end to rape, sexual assault and gender violence.  Walk A Mile In Her Shoes involves (mostly) men walking in women's shoes, not because it's comfortable but because, as the saying goes, you really can't understand what someone is going through until you've walked a mile in their shoes.

The Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Walk is now less that two weeks away.  It's a national awareness walk meant to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence, and it certainly turns heads.

Last week, I told you that I would be taking part in a walk to bring awareness to the problem of domestic and gender violence. I would love it if you would join me on April 27 for the walk.

I'm ready to get a little uncomfortable for a little while to bring attention to something that is ugly and no one else wants to talk about.  My question is going out to the guys: Are there any out there that are man enough to join me? Yup...time to put up fellas.  Get those high heels out.  I'm about to walk a mile in her shoes.
