There are tons of things that you can get on Craigslist. There's an entire section for free stuff. As a matter of fact, there's a lot of good stuff there that you might be able to use as parts or for crafts.
But then there's the other stuff that makes you cock your head sideways and wonder, who the heck is picking this stuff up? And why are these people putting this on Craigslist?
I have really gotten into making things with old unused pallets. You know the pallets that I'm talking about. You will often find them out by the road, or around small businesses across Western New York. What I didn't realize is that there are laws against picking them up at the curb.
Yesterday we told you that the old 219 bridge that for many years was the main connection for travelers heading to Ellicottville from Springville was going to be imploded. This morning it happened. Watch footage of the implosion here.
When I was growing up, there was a big debate in Springville on whether or not the state should continue the 219 expansion project beyond the Village of Springville. A few years ago, the project began and the highway was extended a few miles up the road over the Cattaraugus Creek Gorge. Now, there is an old bridge that used to connect Springville to Cattaraugus that needs to be replaced.

When most people think of road trip vacations where they could take a long weekend, I'm sure most of them think The Hamptons, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard...but Buffalo? According to a list made up from Harper's Bazar, these are the destinations that should be on your radar.
Who could go for a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa on a Sunday morning? At this point, you cannot buy alcohol in New York State at bars or restaurants on a Sunday before noon. But Governor Cuomo is trying to change that. He's pushing to make that time a little earlier, by allowing sales after 8 a.m. instead.
When I was in high school it was a tournament that we always looked forward to. Teams of four people would sign up to play with three on the court and one reliever. It was the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament. It was a blast and it's set to return to Western New York this year.
