Tops Markets Collecting Worn, Tattered Flags, For Proper Disposal

Tops Markets is collecting worn, damaged, and tattered American flags for proper disposal.

The Stars For Troops program will collect the flags from June 9 - 22 at Tops Markets locations.

According to a statement from the grocery retailer, "Embroidered stars will be preserved and presented to local veterans who have defended our flag."

Tops works with partner Veterans organizations such as Honor Flight and local VFWs in the Stars for Troops effort.
