I watched the two and half hour CMT Music Awards last night and pretty much enjoyed all of the performers. There were some stand outs including the opening which teamed Lady Antebellum with pop band Hot Chelle Rae who’s hit song ‘Tonight, Tonight’ mashed up well with Lady A’s ‘We Owned The Night’. It was a seamless fit and personally a big highlight of the show for me.

Toby Keith and actress Kristen Bell are set to host tonight’s CMT Music Awards, and an updated list of presenters, including Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan, has been announced as well. As previously announced, the 2012 CMT Music Awards will feature performances by Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood and more.
